This year, PERN will allocate PLN 415 million for investments, the company announced on Wednesday. At the same time, she announced that her projects would focus, among others, on: in the construction of new storage capacities and modernization of the pipeline network and railway infrastructure.

During the 2nd Infrastructure and Economy Forum, which took place on Wednesday at the Expo Hall in Łódź, organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure, PERN's president, Daniel Świętochowski, presented the company's development plans for 2026. In a statement referring to the event, PERN announced that in 2026 its “investment expenditure will increase to PLN 415 million, compared to PLN 319 million in 2024.”
The company also announced that it will focus, among others, on: on the construction of new storage capacities, implementation of modern pipeline crossings using the HDD method (horizontal drilling, e.g. under rivers – PAP) and on the modernization of the pipeline network and railway infrastructure.
PERN emphasized that in 2026 it plans to launch eight tender procedures for the construction of new tanks, the total value of which in the following years will reach approximately PLN 500 million. As the company noted, an extensive program for maintaining and improving the technical efficiency of its assets is being implemented at the same time. Only in 2026, expenditure on renovations will exceed PLN 125 million, and in the years 2026–2027 they will total over PLN 250 million. The largest part of these funds – nearly PLN 118 million – will be allocated to the modernization of storage tanks.
“PERN is today a modern organization, quickly adapting to changes and an important link in the state security architecture,” said the company's president, Daniel Świętochowski, quoted in its release. He also noted that “in the face of unpredictable geopolitical challenges,” PERN “is consistently building a coherent, flexible security system capable of responding to dynamically changing threats.”
“Our investments are interconnected elements of one whole. It is this systemic nature that translates into the stability of the infrastructure and a real increase in Poland's security,” added Świętochowski.
PERN based in Płock (Masovian Voivodeship) is a strategic entity for Poland's energy security. The company manages critical infrastructure, responsible for pumping crude oil through pipelines to the domestic refineries of the Orlen Group in Płock and Gdańsk, as well as in Germany – to the Schwedt and Leuna refineries, and for storing raw materials and fuels in its bases throughout the country.
In Poland, PERN manages a network of over 2.5 thousand km of oil and product pipelines and 19 fuel bases with a total capacity of over 2.8 million cubic meters, as well as 4 crude oil bases with a total capacity of over 4.1 million cubic meters. (PAP)
