KrasRZD received a state award for its contribution to events in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory

The commemorative medal “80 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, established by Russian President Vladimir Putin, was awarded to the Krasnoyarsk Railway for its significant contribution to the preparation of festive anniversary events.

The solemn ceremony at which the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov presented the medal to the head of the Krasnoyarsk Railway Alexey Tumanin took place at the Krasnoyarsk Victory Memorial Museum.

The award symbolizes public recognition and high appreciation of the merits of the KrasRussian Railways team in preserving the historical memory of the feat of the Soviet people.

A striking example is the Victory Train of the Krasnoyarsk Railway, which for the first time in April and May 2025 made a festive tour of the mainline stations. It was a mobile exhibition consisting of the legendary steam locomotive “Lebedyanka”, platforms with military equipment, a heated carriage and a stage car for the artists of the propaganda team.

At each station there was a historical reconstruction, symbolizing the arrival of military trains during the Great Patriotic War. In Krasnoyarsk, a military retro train arrived to the main song about the war – “Victory Day” – performed by a large combined choir of the Krasnoyarsk Railway, uniting 80 railway workers.

This project is our deepest gratitude to veterans, front-line soldiers and home front workers.

Also, as part of the historical and educational project for the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, implemented by Russian Railways, “Roads of Victory” exhibitions were opened at the railway stations of Krasnoyarsk, Abakan and Achinsk stations. They are based on unique archival materials: photographs, maps, documents revealing the colossal role of railway transport during the Great Patriotic War.

Let us add that in August 2025, the mobile museum of Russian Railways “Victory Train” made a stop in Krasnoyarsk – this is a unique installation located on the train. In its exhibition carriages, every visitor could feel like a real participant in the events of the Great Patriotic War – from the first battles in the Brest Fortress through the trenches and concentration camps to Berlin.
