The data of the Ministry of Finance shows that within eight months tax revenues generated around PLN 321.1 billion. The greatest revenues came from excise duty (PLN 59 billion), corporate income tax (CIT – PLN 44.1 billion) and the so -called bank tax (PLN 4.6 billion). Income from PIT amounted to minus PLN 11.2 billion, which is the result of changes in the Act on local governments, applicable from October 1, 2024. The decrease in income from PIT and CIT results from the shift of part of the revenues from the state budget to local governments.
PLN 41.6 billion was spent on the service of the state debt, and subsidies for local governments consumed almost PLN 36.6 billion. For comparison, after July 2025, budget expenditure amounted to PLN 470.5 billion, and revenues PLN 313.8 billion, which meant a deficit of PLN 156.7 billion.
According to the Budget Act, the year -round state revenues are to reach almost PLN 632.85 billion, expenses almost PLN 921.62 billion, and the deficit should not exceed PLN 288.77 billion.
