The Ombudsman of Chechnya demanded to check the activities of the “Russian Community”, accusing it of “assisting Western intelligence services and TsIPsO”
Authorized Human Rights Commissioner Mansur Soltaev accused the organization of working for foreign intelligence services to incite ethnic hatred. He refers to the complaints he received, in particular to a video where Community activists “stopped young people and demanded documents.”
Soltaev also denies the organization’s accusations of an increase in the number of crimes committed by natives of the Caucasus. According to him, the ombudsman’s office “carried out monitoring”, according to which people from the North Caucasus “do not commit even 1% of crimes, compared with other nationalities.”
