The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory presented awards to the organizers of patriotic events

Governor Mikhail Kotyukov presented commemorative medals, certificates and letters of gratitude to residents of Krasnoyarsk, who in 2025 became organizers of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported in the press service of the regional government.
The governor handed over the commemorative medal and certificates of the Russian Organizing Committee “Victory” signed by the head of state Vladimir Putin to 13 residents of the region. Among them is the head of the regional branch of the “Volunteers of Victory” movement, Marina Dernova. She noted that the main mission of the movement is, first of all, the preservation of historical truth and respect for the history of the Great Patriotic War. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, more than 18 thousand people became Victory volunteers. All of them took an active part in holding and supporting events dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory.
Three residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory received letters of gratitude from the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Five were awarded the medal “For Merit in Perpetuating the Memory of the Fallen Defenders of the Fatherland” by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Seven labor collectives of the region were awarded for preserving the memory of the fate of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, caring for veterans, and holding patriotic events and actions. Thus, the past year was special for the team of the Victory Memorial Museum: on the occasion of two memorable dates, the 50th anniversary of the institution and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, a large-scale reconstruction was carried out there. In the renovated building, the team created a unique exhibition in memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, conducted more than 700 excursions and 400 patriotic events. In total, almost 150 thousand people visited the exhibition during the anniversary year of 2025.
“The anniversary of the Great Victory has gone down in the history of the country as a bright unifying event. The Krasnoyarsk Territory adequately met and held the events of the Year of Defender of the Fatherland. We remembered and honored our heroes – those who marched with arms in hand from Moscow to the Reichstag, bringing Victory closer, and those who worked in the rear. Krasnoyarsk residents came with their families to special events, to meetings with veterans, and proudly carried portraits of front-line soldiers at the Immortal Regiment procession. A lot of work was done to restore the destinies and perpetuate the memory of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland. Thank you for the fact that each of you became a co-author of this holiday,” said Mikhail Kotyukov.
Let us recall that the coming 2026 has been declared by the President of the Russian Federation as the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia – all key patriotic events of the Year of Defender of the Fatherland will have a logical continuation. Paying tribute to the feat of the heroes who protected and are protecting the statehood of our country, regardless of nationality, today, January 14, the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory laid flowers at the Eternal Flame at the Victory Memorial.
