Investigation and criminal case in Iași, after a 4-year-old child whose mother had left him at kindergarten was found alone on the street

The Iasi County Police Inspectorate informed that an investigation was launched and a criminal case was drawn up for “negligence in service” after a 4-year-old child was found alone on the street on Tuesday, in the Chirilă Square area of Iasi, although his mother had dropped him off at kindergarten a few hours ago, reports Agerpres.
“Division No. 4 Iaşi Police was notified in writing by a 33-year-old woman, regarding the fact that her 4-year-old son was found unattended in the area of Chirilă Square, in the city of Iași. From the preliminary checks, it appeared that the minor had left the premises of a preschool education unit, during classes. He was found by workers of the Local Police, he showed no signs of violence and was in a good physical condition. The child was brought home safely and entrusted to the family,” said Adina Ciobanu, spokeswoman for the Iași Public Prosecutor's Office, on Tuesday evening.
The police are conducting investigations to establish all the circumstances of the incident, and a criminal case has been drawn up under the aspect of committing the crime of negligence in the service.
“I called the kindergarten, only then did they realize!”
The child's mother told, through social networks, that during the morning she left her 4-year-old son at Kindergarten with extended program no. 6, and the 10-year-old daughter at school. A few hours later, the woman testifies, insistent knocking was heard on the door of the apartment. When he opened it, he saw his son in the company of a Local Police crew.
“Good evening, today at around 8 o'clock I left my youngest 4-year-old child at kindergarten, and my daughter at school, like every other day. I went home calmly knowing that my children are in good hands. Around 11:20 I heard insistent knocking on the door, when I opened a police team with my 4-year-old child by the hand! The child was found in the Piaţa Chirilă area, by a police crew, and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. The child was alone, in his pants, with his head bare, trying to cross the street!! I had not received a call from the kindergarten to inform me that my child had disappeared, and only then did they realize that we leave our children in their care to others, thinking that everything will be fine, but all kinds of things can happen. Each kindergarten has a responsibility, and it seems that not all of them are competent”, said the woman.
