Seven adults and a child were rescued, on Sunday, by a mixed crew of mountain rescuers and mountain gendarmes, after they had been isolated for several days, due to the snow, at their holiday home in the hamlet of Ticera, in the north of Hunedoara county, reports Agerpres.
According to the head of the Rescue Service of the Hunedoara County Council, Ovidiu Bodean, the rescue operation took place in conditions where the snow layer measured between 80 centimeters and one meter, and the road to the cabin where the group was located was very difficult.
“They remained isolated at their vacation home, after the snow started, for about 4-5 days. From the cabin to the place where they left the cars, there were about 5-6 kilometers of snowy, untraveled road,” said Bodean.
The rescue team was formed by two rescuers and five mountain gendarmes, the road to the indicated place was covered with a Salvamont truck and an ATV with tracks.
