In the Krasnoyarsk Territory last year, 11 libraries were modernized under the regional project “Libraries of the Future” and 5 were updated under the national project “Family”. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Culture.
As part of the “Libraries of the Future” project in Krasnoyarsk, the city library named after Aleksey Cherkasov and the children’s library named after Volodya Dubinin opened after renovation. In the village of Kholmogorskoye, Sharypovsky municipal district, the library named after L.N. Tolstoy received its first visitors, and in the Kozulsky municipal district, the children's library named after Viktor Golyavkin.
In the Balakhtinsko-Novosyolovsky district, the children's library named after Kir Bulychev in the village of Novoselovo and the Svetlolobovsky rural library named after Sergei Aksakov were updated. The Ilyichevsk Library named after Vasily Belov was opened in the Shushensky Municipal District. In the village of Bolshoi Ului, Achinsk District, the Central Children's Library named after Hero of Russia Andrei Zakharchuk opened its doors.
As part of the national project “Family,” model libraries were opened in Yeniseisk, Bogotolsky, Nazarovsky, Dzerzhinsky-Taseevsky and Minusinsky districts.
In total, 93 institutions have been renovated in the region since 2015. Comfortable areas for readers were created in all institutions, new furniture, computers and office equipment were purchased, and book stocks were significantly replenished. In 2026, it is planned to update 5 more libraries under the “Family” national project. The institutions that will be modernized according to the regional project will be determined by the expert council later based on the results of the competition.
