
If you need ready-made beets for a salad or snack, there is an easy way. It leaves no odor in the house, does not dirty the stove and does not require a pan. Everything is prepared neatly and without unnecessary fuss.
You will need:
Medium-sized beets – 1–2 pcs.
Water – 2-3 tablespoons
Paper towel or cotton napkin
Microwave
How to cook:
- Wash the beets. Do not peel or damage the peel.
- Dampen a paper towel or cloth and wring it out lightly.
- Wrap each root vegetable in a wet napkin.
- Place the packages in the microwave on a plate.
- Cook on high for 8-10 minutes depending on size.
- Let stand for 3 minutes.
- Unwrap and cool. The peel is easily removed under running water.
The finished beets turn out juicy, dark burgundy, without wateriness. It is ideal for vinaigrette, borscht dressing or even baby puree.
This method is especially good in winter, when you want vitamins, but don’t have time for long cooking.
