A suspicious object alarmed Donald Trump's security. Sudden change of plans


The mysterious item was discovered before the president arrived at the airport. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that the services responded immediately and the route of the presidential motorcade was changed accordingly. President Trump, asked by journalists after reaching the site for details, stated that he did not know anything about it. The services did not specify what suspicious object it was.

The column left the Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach around 6:20 p.m. American time (approx. 12:20 a.m. Polish time on Monday). Instead of the standard ten-minute journey to the airport, the president and his entourage had to take a roundabout route around the city. During the crossing, policemen on motorcycles created a mobile blockade. At one point, police officers on motorcycles almost collided with the vans accompanying the president.
Upon arrival at the airport, Air Force One was on the opposite side of the airport than usual. Additionally, the lights outside the machine were turned off, which also deviated from standard procedures. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the alternate route was chosen solely out of caution and is standard procedure.
