In 2026, winter holidays will fall from January 19 to March 1, spread over three dates depending on the voivodeship. Parents planning a winter holiday for children must take care of the budget and choose the right offer in advance. Prices vary significantly depending on the form of recreation, duration and standard.

Will holidays be more expensive this year?

According to Katarzyna Turosieńska from the Polish Chamber of Tourism, compared to last season, the prices of winter camps and summer camps are increasing, but without one, simple “price list for the whole of Poland”.

– We rather see moderate increasesand,

most often by several percent – Katarzyna Turosieńska says to Bankier.pl. – MPrograms that include many cost-sensitive services: transport, meals, energy and staff salaries are more expensive. It is worth remembering that even with lower overall inflation, services can become more expensive faster. IN November last year The Central Statistical Office indicated an increase in the prices of services y/y at the level of approximately 5.3%. which translates directly into the cost of organizing recreation for children.

The demand for trips is not decreasing

According to the expert the demand for family and holiday trips remains at a solid level, and the market is rather stable.

– It was pointed out in the analyzes regarding the 2026 holidays no sudden price increases and good interest in trips, which favors earlier reservations
– says Katarzyna Turosieńska. – Today, the number of trips is most influenced by: the household budget, the availability of parents' leaves, the dates of holidays in voivodeships and the offer of subsidies.

What influences the price of holidays for children?

According to a representative of the Polish Chamber of Tourism, the price of a trip for children is most influenced by:

  • llocation and standard of the facility – mountains and ski resorts are naturally more expensive during the peak holidays,
  • Innutrition and number of meals and possible diets,
  • andtractions and program – swimming pools/thermal baths, amusement parks, entry tickets to various facilities, specialist activities,
  • voltransport – bus, train (distance matters here)
  • skiing – passesinstructors, service, sometimes additional payments on site.

As Katarzyna Turosieńska says MrAt winter camps and summer camps, it is more often profitable to pay in advance reserve seats – due to their limit, better selection of dates and standards, and sometimes real “first minute” discounts.

– “Last minute” offers do happen, but they usually concern single places, specific dates and are not always cheaper because the organizer's costs have already been incurred – says the expert.

How much does a winter camp cost?

Prices for winter camps during this year's holidays may vary significantly depending on the type of trip, duration, standard, program and location.

Prices of wintering grounds in Poland (7–8 days):

  • recreational – approx 1 650 – PLN 2,300,
  • thematic, e.g. film, artistic, survival, manga – approx 1900–PLN 2,699,
  • ski or snowboard – approx 2 299–2 999 zloty,
  • educational – approx PLN 2,299.

Premium wintering areas:

  • ski camps in Austria or the Dolomites – approx 3,699 PLN 5,399,
  • abroad, e.g. in Barcelona, Dubai, Morocco – 3,399 PLN 6,999 or more.

What should you pay attention to when choosing a winter site?

According to Katarzyna Turosieńska, the differences between private offers and those organized by schools or local governments result mainly from the structure of the budget.

– Public entities often benefit from economies of scale, group procurement or subsidies, while private entities more often offer a more specialized program, e.g. sports, languages, survival and flexible options – which may increase the cost, but not always. The key is to compare “what exactly is included in the price”, not just the amount on the poster – says Katarzyna Turosieńska.

According to the expert, a higher price does not always mean better quality. Parents should look primarily at:

  • qualifications and number of staff,
  • realistic daily plan,
  • safety conditions,
  • insurance,
  • standard and location of accommodation,
  • transport,
  • transparency of the contract (surcharges, additional costs, cancellation rules).

– The same price may mean a completely different service package. It is very important that the recreation organizer operates legally, emphasizes the representative of the Polish Chamber of Tourism.

How much do summer camps cost?

However, many children stay at home during the holidays. A good solution for them are summer camps, where they not only have care in the absence of their parents, but also provide interesting activities among their peers. They are organized, among others: by local governments and schools. In Wrocław, they will be run by 27 branches that offer them in total

over 3 thousand places. Classes will be held there in two five-day sessions. Each facility plans classes according to its own schedule. These include: sports, art and music classes, art and film workshops, as well as joint trips to the ice rink or to the cinema.

– This is a great convenience for parents who can be sure that their children are safe, well taken care of and spend time actively with their peers. Some branches also offer meals, says Monika Dubec from the Wrocław city hall to Bankier.pl. – The cost of a week-long school summer camp is average approx. PLN 350.

The most expensive thematic summer camps

You have to pay much more for thematic summer camps that take place in community centers, sports centers or private educational institutions. Participants are not only provided with the care of educators and meals, but also thematic activities and numerous attractions such as trips to the cinema, swimming pool, ice rink and creative workshops. Many summer camps have a thematic profile, e.g. sports, art, language or computer. Their prices usually vary from PLN 600 to PLN 1,200.

For example, riding camps are even more expensive. At the Wrocław Horse Racing Track – Partynice, the youngest can take part in the holidays in the saddle. Their cost is PLN 1,400 – 1,500.

– Children participate in equestrian classes and learn about everyday life in the stable, learning how to feed, care and have safe contact with horses. The program is enriched by vaulting classes, hobby horses and meetings with a hippotherapist and the Municipal Horse Guard, says Piotr Makarewicz, head of the Marketing and Event Organization Department at the Wrocław Horse Racecourse-Partynice.
