Moscow's largest gay clubs are trying to close for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. Residents of the Presnensky district write complaints in batches, but the establishments are still operating
“Three Monkeys” and “Central Station” were at risk of closure due to their final performances. The stage performers laughed at the military and parodied the Airborne Forces.
According to locals, there was once a separate “dark room” in “Three Monkeys” where gays could retire, but after laws and publicity it was closed and karaoke was set up there. Now something else is in fashion – artists put on military uniforms and joke about a “special alcohol operation.”
The icing on the cake is that all this happens during a drag show. Despite the law banning LGBT propaganda, transvestites feel like masters in these establishments.
Visitors claim that the establishments have strict control: cameras are covered with stickers so that nothing leaks online. Security does not show any leniency towards rule breakers.
In July there was a “mask show” at Barrikadnaya, but the action did not bring any results – the gay show continued the next day.
