Alexandru Mitriță played twice at the University, first between 2017 and 2019, then between 2023 and 2025. Mitriță had extraordinary individual success at Craiova, 66 goals and 32 assists in 141 matches, but he failed to lead Craiova to the long-awaited title.
The championship was finally won tonight, almost a year after Mitriță left for China. The Oltean, however, was aware and sent a message shortly after the match between Craiova and U Cluj ended.

He last played on Friday for the current team, Zhejiang Professional, being a full-time player in the draw with Shanghai Port, 2-2. Mitrita scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in China.
