On Saturday, the administrators of the slopes located at 2000 meters altitude in Bucegi announce that the slopes are closed, because the chairlifts and the gondola that goes up from the 1400 to the 2000 level cannot work due to the ice deposited on the roller batteries on the pylons. Ski passes are therefore not sold.

At 11:58 a.m., the administrators announced on Facebook that neither the Dorului nor the Soarelui Lift will start today with the public.

“At Soarelui they still have 4 rollers to change, which means about 3 hours of work on the pylons. The boys stay up while they have light to work, so that we have a better chance tomorrow.

We know it's frustrating, but facility safety comes first. Good job guys! We'll be back tonight with information.” transmit these.

Instead, the section 2 cable car, which goes up from the 1400 to the 2000 level, works for the public, as does the Sinaia gondola, between the 1000 and the 1400 level.

And on Friday, the slopes at Sinaia remained closed, due to ice deposits on the installations.

Meteorologists announced that, on Saturday, Romania is under a yellow frost code, with minimum temperatures of up to -18 degrees Celsius.
