Nigerian striker Bilel Omrani (32 years old) is no longer the footballer of the Karditsa2nd place in the second tier of Greece. The announcement was made by the club through social networks.
Omrani had been playing for Karditsa since July 2025. His former club had just been promoted to the second league in Greece.

“Anagennisi Karditsa Club announces the mutual termination of the contracts of the players Giorgos Vilanakis, Giorgos Dumtsis, Apostolos Diamantis and Billel Omrani.
We thank them for their contribution and wish them much success in their careers,” the Greek club said in a statement.
Bilel Omrani's career has collapsed in recent seasons. From top scorer in Romania and five-time champion with CFR Cluj, the striker had increasingly bad experiences. He scored only one goal in the last three years and never returned to the form that established him.
From January 2023 until now, the striker has scored only one goal. It was happening in September 2025, in the jersey of the Greek team. Before this, he had registered in January 2023, when he wore the FCSB shirt.
Bilel Omrani played 11 matches for Karditsa, during which he scored one goal.
Karditsa are 2nd in Greece's second division with 36 points, one behind leaders Iraklis 1908.
The Algerian is still worth 125,000 euros, according to the specialized website Transfermarkt.
Arles-Avignon, Marseille, CFR Cluj, FCSB, Petrolul, Wisla Krakow, Poli Iasi and Karditsa are the clubs Bilel Omrani played for throughout his career.
Omrani has a selection for the Algerian national team. On an individual level, in 2019, he won the prize offered by Gazeta Sporturilor for the foreign player of the year.
