Several Bucharest residents from Sector 2 have complained that the local taxes they have to pay to the City Hall have increased from one day to the next.

They complained on social networks that in addition to the problems with the Ghișeul.ro platform, which cannot be accessed all the time, they found that the tax they had seen the other day that they had to pay suddenly became higher.

“Yesterday it was under 300 (lei), today it is 350”, wrote a user on the Facebook group Sector 2 – Information and debates. “Yesterday it was 308, today it's 401.. almost 25% difference…” said another Bucharest resident.

“I paid and found myself with a payment difference,” added another user.

Another also posted screenshots taken on the Ghiseul.ro platform, one on Monday afternoon and another on Tuesday morning. In these, it can be seen that the tax on buildings increased from 402 lei to 565 lei.

Dragoș Cristian Vlad, the president of the Authority for the Digitization of Romania, which manages Ghișeul.ro, recommended that citizens wait approximately one more week before paying.
