“Paulo Rafael Pereira Araújo, known as Paulinho, who came to Oțelul in the summer of 2025, quickly established himself in the red-white-blue team, scoring on his debut, away from Farul Constanța, score 3-2.

At the age of 26, the Portuguese striker was distributed in 22 official games in the Steel shirt, 20 in the Superliga and 2 in the Romanian Cup. For our club, he scored 7 goals and provided 1 assist.

Our club thanks Paulinho for his time in the red-white-blue, for his effort and contribution and wishes him the best of luck in his sporting career. Obrigado!”, says the press release from Oțelul.

The people of Galăți stated that “the transaction between the two clubs is of a financial nature, and the details of the agreement remain confidential, according to the agreement between SC Oțelul Galați and Wieczysta Kraków”, but fanatik.ro claims that the move was made for 200,000 euros.

Oțelul Galati is in 6th place in the SuperLiga (the last one that ensures presence in the play-offs at the end of the regular season), with 33 points after 21 rounds, while Wieczysta Krakow is in the same position in the second league in Poland (which leads to the barrier for promotion to the first league), with 30 points after 19 rounds.
