“He's got his first chance!” » Cristi Tănase chose the future Superliga champion, then named the other team that impressed him

Cristi Tănase, 38 years old, triple champion with FCSBdares to bet on the red-blues in the fight for the title in the Superliga. Retired from the activity, Tănse explained why he is betting on the former team, although the reigning champion is currently only in ninth place.
Three years after his retirement and temporarily out of the phenomenon, the former international with 41 appearances and six goals for the national team is connected to the battle for supremacy in the Super League. He mainly follows FCSB and FC Argeș, the teams on which he left his mark in the first part of his career.
Questioned by GSP about the fight in the internal competition, Cristian Tănase gave a surprising answer, taking into account the current configuration of the ranking. “Dodel” also sees FCSB in pole-position, a team outside the play-off places, nine points behind the leader Craiova.
“I think FCSB has the first chance! It doesn't seem to me that, at this moment, anyone is a 100% favorite. But we are also talking about the value of the lot and my opinion is that FCSB is clearly over”said the man who managed 30 goals and 48 assists in 230 official matches for the red-blues.

He is impressed by FC Argeș and does not take Romania out of the calculations for the “barrage”
Tănase also turned his attention to his other favorite, Argeșul, which propelled him into big football in the 2000s. The club where he ended his career impressed him in the first part of the season:
“I watched FC Argeș. The way they looked and the way they played, I think they are definitely in the play-off spot. He really plays beautiful football for a newly promoted team, incredibly well.
But when you have serious and good people in the club, you sure do work! And FC Argeș really has something like that.
We also qualified for the play-offs in the 2021-2022 season, but the team looks much better now”, commented the former “decar” of the national team.
Having visited four teams from Turkey, Sivsspor, Karabukspor, Eskişehirspor and Giresunspor, Cristi Tănase also spoke about Romania's chances in the “barrage” which will be played in one leg, at the end of March, in Istanbul.
“We are not safe victims! It's clear that the Turks have the first chance, with the players they have in the team, but my opinion is that we also have our chance and we can get a good result”.
In conclusion, Tănase expressed his desire to return in one form or another to football. The last time, he worked as a “second” at LPS HD Clinceni, a team coached by former teammate Paul Pârvulescu: “I don't know what I'm going to do in 2026, but that's definitely what I want, to come back,” said Tănase, for GSP.
