The reason for the lack of rail on the tracks in Będzelin (eastern Łódź poviat) will be known after a technical examination, Katarzyna Michalska from PKP PLK told PAP on Tuesday. According to the services, the damage was not caused by the interference of third parties.


On Tuesday around 12, the driver of the Lublin Główny – Szczecin Główny train noticed the absence of a 112 cm long rail on the tracks in Będzelin (eastern Łódź poviat). After the damage was temporarily repaired, the train continued its journey.
As Katarzyna Michalska from PKP PLK told PAP, the cause of the defect will be known after a technical examination. According to the services that inspected the scene, the damage was not caused by the interference of third parties.
The Lublin Główny – Szczecin Główny train stopped by the driver, after a short stop and provisional replacement of the missing rail, continued its journey.
The defect was repaired at approximately 16.30. By then, traffic on this line had been diverted; According to PKP PLK, this did not cause any major delays in train services. (PAP)
