Hockey: Romania, dramatically defeated at the Under-20 World Championship

The Romanian team was dramatically defeated by Croatia, with a score of 6-5 (1-0, 2-4, 2-1, 1-0), after extra time, on Monday evening, at the Under-20 Ice Hockey World Championship, Division II, Group A, hosted by Berceni Arena in Bucharest.

The tricolors were leading 5-3 in the first minute. 45, but were tied and lost in overtime, conceding three consecutive goals.
Matei Bolocan (21:49, 31:56), Tamas Marton (25:38, 44:54) and Luca Moise (38:51) scored for the Romanian team, while Matko Idzan (17:30, 36:07, 64:20), Patrik Marojevic (27:48), Roko Gorsic (49:17) and Filip Svjetlicic scored for the Croatians (55:13).
In Monday's other matches, South Korea disposed of Great Britain 4-0 and China defeated Spain 5-2.
South Korea takes first place with 6 points, followed by China, 4 points, Romania, 3 points, Great Britain, 3 points, Croatia, 2 points, Spain, 0 points.
The next matches will take place on Wednesday, South Korea – China (12:30), Croatia – Great Britain (16:00) and Romania – Spain (19:30).
