Denis Drăguș (26 years old) sued the Eyupspor club, the team to which he was loaned at the beginning of this season from Trabzonspor. Authorized sources of Gazeta Sporturilor claim that the Romanian international is asking for some outstanding salaries, which lead to one million euros.
Several players have filed petitions against the club to be released from their contracts. In addition to Denis Drăguș, coach Atila Gerin decided to conduct the winter camp without 6 other players: Mame Thiam, Umut Meras, Emre Akbaba, Mujakic, Ampem and Robin Yalcin.
Denis Drăguș sued the Eyupspor club
The Romanian striker was excluded from Eyupspor's squad for this winter's training camp, and the most likely destination will be Gaziantep, the team where Drăguș achieved the best season of his career, with 14 goals and a decisive assist in 32 matches, in the 2023-2024 season.
Denis Drăguș sued the club and demanded several outstanding salaries. The Romanian striker arrived at Eyupsor at the beginning of this season, on loan from Trabzonspor, until the end of this season. At Eyupspor, Denis Drăguș made 12 appearances in the first league of Turkey, but without any success in terms of goals or decisive assists.
If he chose to return to Gaziantep, Denis Drăguș would be a colleague of two other Romanian players, Alexandru Maxim and Deian Sorescu.
For the senior national team of Romania, Denis Drăguș made 27 selections, during which he managed to score 7 times. However, Mircea Lucescu will not be able to rely on the striker in this year's World Cup tie with Turkey, after Drăguș received a straight red card in the 1-3 defeat to Bosnia in the preliminary group, following a hard foul, shortly after being introduced on the field.
