Florin Prunea (57 years old), former Romanian international, proposed Lucian Filip for the position of head coach of FCSB until the end of this season.

Remaining on the staff since 2022, since he retired, Lucian Filip is second coach at FCSB, but also the one responsible for training until the management finds a new solution.

The position of head coach at FCSB remained vacant after the departure of Mirel Rădoi to Gaziantep, so discussions regarding a possible option for FCSB's bench are becoming more frequent.

Florin Prunea believes that now is the perfect chance for Lucian Filip to have his first term as principal.

I would go with Filip until the end, on my word of honor. Popică (no. Marius Popa) returns as goalkeeper coach, Filip, the trainer who was… I would put Lucian Filip”, said Florin Prunea, according to iamsport.ro.

Lucian Filip is already the one in charge of training the team until the management finds a new solution, something confirmed by Mihai Stoica, the President of the Board of Directors at FCSB. He will be helped by Alin Stoica, the coach of the champion's U19 team.

Lucian Filip and Alin Stoica will lead tomorrow's training, together with Horea Codorean, the physical trainer, and Marius Popa, the goalkeeper coach. I was very inspired to keep them.

Most likely, Lucian Filip will sit on FCSB's bench in the next match the team will play in the play-out. On Friday, from 20:30, at the National Arena, FCSB receives the visit of Petrolul Ploiești.
