CFR Cluj risks DEPUNCTING! » “The penalties are flowing, we can't stop them!”

Those from CFR Cluj going through a very complicated period from a financial point of view. Transylvania are accumulating penalties due to the fact that they did not pay the last installment for the transfer of midfielder Tidiane Keita (29 years old), brought in the summer from Petrolul Ploiești.
Tidiane Keita arrived in Gruia in August, in exchange for the sum of 400,000 euros. CFR should have paid the last installment, worth 120,000 euros, by October 31, but they did not make the payment.

According to the contract signed between the two parties, every day after October 31 comes with a penalty of 1,000 euros for the Transylvanians, until they pay the last installment, according to prosport.ro. The penalties have already reached the sum of 65,000 euros.
The notifications received by the people of Cluj were in vain, since they were unable to pay the amount. The CFR could even be de-punctuated if it continues in the same way.

The financial problems of those from CFR are also highlighted by the fact that they are selling the most valuable footballers in this period. Louis Munteanu and Lindon Emerllahu have already left the team, while the transfers of Meriton Korenica and Matei Ilie are also discussed.
There are salary arrears. With the money that will come in in January, we will close many chapters, but not all… If we do not make certain payments by January 15, we risk not getting the UEFA license, because we are being monitored. The Ligue 1 license is not in danger. If we manage to pay off the debts by January 15, we can also get the UEFA license.
– Iuliu Mureșan, the president of CFR Cluj
CFR Cluj, a serious candidate for the title in recent years, is going through a very weak season. They are only 11th, with 26 points accumulated in the first 21 games.
