The length of highways in Romania will double in the next five years, as will the density of highways per 1000 square km. Our country will approach the figures recorded by the large countries of Western Europe, and Bucharest will be able to compete with the large European cities, reveals the data analyzed by Profit.ro.

Romania currently has 1,422 kilometers of motorway in circulation – a total with which it has already exceeded the Czech Republic, Denmark and Croatia -, and another 832.2 kilometers are under construction, which will be completed, if the contracts are respected, in the next 3-4 years.
