Cătălin Drula, the USR candidate for the position of general mayor of Bucharest, responds to the criticism of Anca Alexandrescu, supported by the AUR for the position left vacant by Nicusor Dan. Drula stated, at Digi24, that PSD and AUR “court each other” and use similar speeches.

Cătălin Drula reacted after Anca Alexandrescu claimed that, unlike him, she does not need support regarding her candidacy for the Capital City Hall.

“I see that he has a common speech with Mr. Grindeanu, I think that we can read more here than it seems at first glance. PSD and AUR see that they are courting each other and go to the same area of speech. I also invite Mr. Băluţă to speak out against this rapprochement. In the Parliament, I see that they are voting side by side. It shows what the danger is for this country, and for this city,” said Cătălin Drula, quoted by News.ro.

On Monday evening, after AUR announced that it supports her candidacy for the Capital City Hall, Anca Alexandrescu stated that, unlike Cătălin Drula, she does not need support.

“I'm not Drula and I don't need the propte. So I'm recommended for what I did and everywhere I worked this happened. My relationship with the Georgescu family is one of friendship (…) and I would never ask Mr. Georgescu for something like that (involvement in his electoral campaign – no). A friendship is a friendship. (…) Everything I did for Mr. Georgescu and for the sovereignist movement and for AUR, I did it from soul and faith”, affirmed Alexandrescu.
