Hard frost down to minus 18 is coming over Poland. Alerts from Lower Silesia to Podlasie

On Monday, the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued level I warnings of severe frost for seven voivodeships. In these areas, the minimum night temperature is forecast to be minus 18 degrees Celsius and the average wind speed is up to 10 km/h.


Level I warnings against severe frost partially cover the following provinces:
- Lower Silesia,
- Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship,
- Masovian Voivodeship,
- Podlasie,
- Łódź province,
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship,
- Greater Poland Voivodeship.
The Institute forecasts a minimum temperature at night from minus 14 to minus 18 degrees Celsius and an average wind speed of 5 to 10 km/h.
The alerts will go into effect at 9 p.m. on Monday and will last until 9 on Wednesday.
Level I warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life.
