Donald Trump explains why he believed Vladimir Putin


On Monday, January 29 Russia announced that Vladimir Putin's residence in the Novgorod Oblast was attacked with 91 drones. All of them were to be shot down. The Kremlin clearly identified Ukraine as the perpetrator of the attack. Ukraine strongly denied it, calling Russia's claims a lie. Meanwhile, Donald Trump said at the time that he was furious with Kyiv.

On Sunday, Donald Trump spoke on this matter again. Aboard the presidential plane, Air Force One, he told reporters he did not believe the alleged Ukrainian attack on President Vladimir Putin's residence took place, as Russia claims.

The US president added that initially he believed Putin's words because he had no other informationbut after checking the case, he does not think that such an attack took place. He again expressed hope that he would be able to end the war in Ukraine.
