“Crispy, flavorful and very quick snack.” Pickled cabbage, which perfectly complements any dish

User of the Ukrainian culinary portal Cookpad Tatiana Dyordyai shared a recipe for cabbage with beets.

“Crispy, flavorful and very quick snack – ideal for any dish!” – the user wrote.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of white cabbage;
  • one beet;
  • four cloves of garlic;
  • 1 tbsp. l. salt;
  • 90 g sugar;
  • 0.5 l of water;
  • 3 tbsp. l. vinegar 9%;
  • 4 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

Preparation

  1. Finely chop the cabbage, cut the beets into thin half rings.
  2. Boil water in a saucepan, add salt and sugar, stir until dissolved.
  3. Add chopped garlic and black pepper, mix lightly. Cook for a minute.
  4. Pour in vinegar, vegetable oil, bring to a boil.
  5. Cool the marinade and pour over the cabbage, mix well. Cover and leave to marinate for two hours at room temperature. It is advisable to put it under pressure.
