A Krasnoyarsk man stole an electric scooter from a disabled person and came under investigation

In Krasnoyarsk, a man stole a scooter from a group 2 disabled person and ended up under criminal charges. This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
At the beginning of November 2025, a 51-year-old resident of the Sverdlovsk region contacted the duty station with a message that an acquaintance had taken his electric scooter worth 52 thousand rubles and stopped communicating.
The victim explained to the police that the man spent the night with him for several days because he had nowhere to live. While moving out, he asked for an electric scooter to take things out and disappeared.
“The suspect turned out to be a 37-year-old man from Krasnoyarsk who had been previously convicted several times. He said that initially he did not intend to return the stolen property and handed it over to a pawnshop,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The attacker was detained and a criminal case was opened against him under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. Now the man is under recognizance not to leave the place and of proper behavior, the case has been sent to court.
Criminal investigation officers seized the electric scooter from the thrift store and returned it to the victim.
