Zelensky announced a new meeting with Trump

“Our plan is as follows: tomorrow representatives and chiefs of the General Staff and representatives of other countries in the military sector are leaving for Europe. They will work for 24 hours in France, in Paris. After this there will be a meeting of leaders, security documents will be finalized. […] There will be meetings with President Trump's team, also in Paris. They will last a day, or maybe two days. Let’s see how things go,” said the head of the Ukrainian state.

The main issues, among other issues, will be security guarantees and the post-war renewal of Ukraine.

“And after this, I think that we will prepare for a meeting in the United States of America at the level of leaders in a wide circle. We would like all this to happen during January, until the end of January. These are our plans today,” Zelensky said.

According to him, task No. 1 during meetings in Europe is to finalize a document on security guarantees from the “coalition of the willing.”

“To prepare it as one of the grounds for discussion in the United States of America with President Trump: this is a document that is ready from the Europeans,” the Ukrainian president added.

Context

The previous meeting between Trump and Zelensky took place on December 28 in residence of the American leader Mar-a-Lago. Negotiation should have lasted about an hour, but took more than two. Following the meeting, the head of the White House announced that “great detail” had been achieved, however, “one or two questions” remained. Zelensky explained that they were talking about the future fate of Donbass and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

Before the meeting with Zelensky, Trump held telephone conversation with the illegitimate president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin.
