The American actress Angelina Jolie visited on Friday the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing point, which connects the Gaza Strip with Egypt, to show her solidarity with the Palestinian people and to follow the humanitarian activities on the spot, reports the Egyptian and Israeli media, quoted by EFE and Agerpres.
According to the press, the purpose of the visit was to assess the situation of Palestinians who were transferred to Egypt for treatment and to examine the flow of aid to the Gaza Strip, devastated by the Israeli offensive.
In the images during the visit to Rafah, published on social networks, you can see how the actress talks with authorities, Red Cross workers and truck drivers transporting humanitarian aid.
Major human rights organizations and even Gazans have reported that the flow of aid into the enclave remains insufficient due to the blockade imposed by Israel, although the cease-fire agreement stipulates an obligation to increase the daily flow of food, fuel and medicine.

Angelina Jolie worked for two decades with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), as the organization's special envoy between 2012 and 2022, and frequently posts on social networks reflections on humanitarian issues, such as those caused by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Since the beginning of Israel's attacks, after the attacks of the Hamas group on October 7, 2023, the death toll in the Gaza Strip would have exceeded 71,000, according to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
