Context
On the morning of January 3, explosions were heard in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, and planes and helicopters appeared in the sky. It later turned out that the military operation was carried out by the American military; it was completed by capturing Maduro and his wife right in the bedroom and taking them to US territory.
The seizure was carried out by special forces elite unit of the US Army “Delta”. According to CNN, the special operation did not result in casualties among US citizens.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said Maduro was charged in the Southern District of New York with conspiracy to commit narcoterrorism, conspiracy to import cocaine, illegal possession of machine guns and explosive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and explosive devices against the United States.
