Portraits of voters. Who are the supporters of KO, PiS, Left and Confederation?

The analysis published on Monday was carried out on combined data sets from three studies conducted by CBOS in the second half of August, the beginning of September and the first half of October this year. As explained, “single measurements of party preferences, due to too small numbers, usually do not allow for in-depth analyzes of the socio-demographic profiles of individual electors.”

The analysis was carried out the six largest party electorates: voters of KO, PiS, Confederation of Freedom and Independence, Confederation of the Crown of Poland, Left and Razem.

Among the surveyed voter groups There were no supporters of Szymon Hołownia's Poland 2050 or PSLbecause – as explained – in the combined set of three studies, the sizes of these electorates were so small that “the analyzes would be burdened with a very high risk of error.”

Who votes for the Civic Coalition

According to the study, women dominate among people who would vote for the Civic Coalition in the next parliamentary elections (62%). 71 percent KO voters are at least 45 years old, of which 35 percent belongs to the age group 65 plus. As noted, there is an “above-average” percentage of people with higher education among the KO electorate – 41%.

Among KO voters, there is a noticeable predominance of city residents – 69%. Due to the fact that the majority of the KO electorate is people over 45 years of age, in terms of professional status, retirees and pensioners dominate (40%). According to the study, 20 percent respondents declare that they achieve a monthly net income of at least 9 thousand PLN, and 78 percent of the party's electorate assessed their financial conditions as good.

The KO electorate is dominated by people with left-wing views (51%). 20 percent surveyed KO voters declared that they participated in religious practices at least once a week; 47 percent she replied that she did not participate in religious practices at all.

As in the case of KO, people over 45 also dominate among Law and Justice voters (75%). 40 percent of them are voters aged 65+. Among the representatives of the PiS electorate, there is a slight predominance of women – 53%.

What is the PiS voter like?

CBOS emphasizes that “the PiS electorate is (…) the least educated among the six largest electorates of political parties.” As noted, people with higher education are particularly underrepresented among the party's voters, constituting 19 percent. electorate.

PiS voters are dominated by rural residents (53%). 50 percent voters are pensioners, which – as in the case of KO – is related to the age structure of the electorate. As noted, compared to the analyzed voter groups, the PiS electorate declares the lowest net income: monthly income of over PLN 5,000. PLN 27% declared. subjects. 49 percent respondents assess their own financial conditions as good.

According to CBOS, the PiS electorate is the most religious of the six party electorates surveyed. 56% of people declared regular, at least weekly, religious practices. voters of this party. 82 percent PiS voters described their political views as right-wing.

A typical Confederate voter

Also 82 percent voters of the Confederation of Freedom and Independence, which includes two groups – New Hope and the National Movement, described their political views as right-wing.

According to CBOS data, men clearly dominate among KWiN voters (76%). There is a noticeable predominance of people under 45 in the KWiN electorate (75%), of which 17%. under 25 years of age. People belonging to the 65 plus group constitute 4%. the group's electorate. People with secondary and higher education clearly dominate among KWiN voters – they constitute 77%. electorate.

As in the case of KWiN, men dominate among supporters of the Confederation of the Polish Crown (75%). As noted, the age structure of this party's supporters is dominated by people aged 35-64 (72%), half of whom are voters aged 35-44. The voters of the Confederation of the Crown of Poland are dominated by people with secondary education (47%).

In the electorate of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, approximately 58 percent are the inhabitants of the village. Professionally employed people constitute 79%. representatives of the group's electorate. As noted, KKP voters stand out from the six other largest party electorates with the highest percentage of people running their own business (28%). 53 percent party voters declared that their monthly income exceeds PLN 5,000. PLN, and 49% described their financial conditions as good. electorate.

“Due to the assessment of their own financial conditions, the electorate of the Confederation of the Crown of Poland is similar to the electorate of Law and Justice, and due to the distribution of net income achieved, it is similar to the Civic Coalition,” emphasizes CBOS.

As noted, the electorate of the KP Confederation is the most right-wing of all the largest party electorates: 90 percent declare right-wing views. the group's voters.

Left and Razem – who votes for these parties

The most left-wing views among the six largest party electorates are declared by Left voters (90%). 65 percent the group's voters are women; the Left electorate is dominated by people under 45 (64%). As it was emphasized, the Left's electorate is “one of the best educated” – 52 percent declare higher education. subjects.

According to CBOS, Razem voters also stand out from other surveyed party electorates in terms of education: 54% have higher education. surveyed party supporters.
