Diogo Rodrigues, the former right back from UTA, signed with Petrolul until 2027. The Portuguese player was officially presented by Prahoven.
Rodrigues returned to the Superliga after a year and a half. In 2024, he parted ways with UTA, then spent half a year without a team. At the beginning of last year, he signed with Zimbru Chisinau, where he has been registered until now.
This season, Rodrigues has 16 matches in the first league of Moldova, scored 1 goal and provided 3 decisive assists.

“Portuguese footballer Diogo Rodrigues (26 years old) is officially the new member of our team! Last time at Zimbru Chisinau, Rodrigues signed an agreement valid until the end of the 2026-2027 season with FC Petrolul Ploiești.
A player who can play on both sides of the pitch, both in defense and midfield, Rodrigues (1.83 metres) started his football at Belenenses' Academy before making the step up to Sporting Lisbon's U19 team.
He also played, in his native country, for Scavenense, Amora FC, Portimonense U23 and SC Covilha, and in the summer of 2023 he reached the Superliga, at UTA Arad, for his first experience outside Portugal. He left Arad a year later, during which he played 33 games in the first division and scored one goal, and later went to the Republic of Moldova, to Zimbru Chisinau.
