Be like Poland – energetic, brave and safe – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a New Year's video addressed to Europeans. Among Poland's achievements he mentioned, among others: a safe and tight eastern border, asylum policy and the highest economic growth in Europe.

– Looking back to 2025, I am very proud of my country – Poland and its achievements – said the Prime Minister in a speech recorded in English, published on Thursday on the X platform.

Among the reasons to be proud, he mentioned, among others: “a safe and tight eastern border” and a “responsible and tough asylum policy”. – A role model for all of Europe, which has achieved over 90 percent a decrease in the number of migrants crossing our borders, he added.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the construction of “the largest modern army in the EU” so that Poland and Europe will be safe “from the East.”

He also spoke about the “effective policy of fighting crime”, thanks to which Poland is prosecuting, among others, saboteurs sent by the Russians.

He drew attention to the Forbes magazine ranking, in which Warsaw was recognized as the most attractive European city to visit in 2026.

He also said that last year, thanks to the in vitro reimbursement program, over eight thousand babies were born in Poland. kids; the average salary increased by almost ten percent in 2025, and Polish GDP exceeded one trillion dollars. – We are the second country in Europe with the lowest unemployment and the highest economic growth – noted Tusk, adding information about falling inflation.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the solidarity extended to two million Ukrainians who came to Poland after Russia's attack on Ukraine.

– Poland is a dynamic logistics hub connecting Europe, with the fastest developing road and rail infrastructure – he said. The last reason he mentioned was the “energy revolution”, with the largest increase in green energy in Europe and the involvement in the construction of nuclear and marine power plants.
