There are three categories of hackers: white hat, black hat, gray hat. Robert Grabowski, head of CERT Orange, has been working in cybersecurity for years and belongs to the first category. White hat hackers are often wards, people who help locate and patch vulnerabilities in a system. Black hats are those who use these vulnerabilities to encrypt or steal data, usually for ransom, generally for financial purposes. Gray hat neither help nor harm. They have no sense of missionary or thieving streak.
Robert Grabowski tells what the criminal cyber world looks like, who are the people who find their way there, how organized criminal groups operate, and how they track down and attack victims.
