As a result of the attack two “narco-terrorists” were killed. The entry was accompanied by a video showing the blurred silhouette of a sailing boat that burst into flames after being struck by two missiles. It is unclear whether all the boat's passengers died.

Another such action by the US

It was the 30th such attack against suspected smugglers' boats in the Pacific and Caribbean Sea. In total, at least 107 people have died so far.

The attack came on the day President Donald Trump confirmed that the US had carried out an attack inside Venezuela.

There was a large explosion in the dock area where they load their boats with drugs Trump said during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. “We've been hitting all the boats, and now we're hitting the land. This was an implementation area (…) And it no longer exists, he added.

But Trump gave no further details about the location, time or method of the attack and declined to say whether it was the result of a covert CIA operation he had authorized weeks earlier.
