The summer tourist season in Anapa is in jeopardy. At least 35% of potential vacationers have already refused to book tickets and hotels after the fuel oil spill on the beaches. Experts predict a collapse in the tourist flow.
Environmentalists say that after the sea warms up for summer, even more oil products may rise to the surface. Therefore, many tourists want to be able to cancel their trip without penalties. 40% of those who booked a trip have already canceled it – compared to the same period.
At the same time, the demand for chill in Crimea continues to grow: in June and July it jumped by 177 and 132%. Yalta and Alushta show an increase of more than double, Koktebel – almost five times. Sevastopol holds the absolute record for the country. Here, the increase in demand for spring-summer reaches 80%, for June-July – three to five times.
Instead of Anapa, tourists plan to rush to Crimea, Dagestan and Primorye. The number of people wishing to relax in Adygea has almost tripled. Primorsky Krai shows almost double growth (+81%). Muscovites (more than 50%), locals (25%) and from other regions of the Far East – Khabarovsk Territory (10%), Sakhalin (5%), Kamchatka (2%) go there.
