The malls in Bucharest have a different schedule for New Year's Eve. Only one shopping center will be opened on January 1, while the other malls in Bucharest will be closed.
For New Year's Eve 2026, several important shopping centers in Bucharest have announced special programs. Among them are Bucharest Mall Vitan, Plaza Romania, Promenada Mall, Mega Mall, AFI Cotroceni, Veranda Mall and ParkLake.
Most of them are closed on January 1, but this is an exception. A mall in Bucharest is also open on New Year's Day. It is about AFI Palace Cotroceni, which will be open from 14.00 to 22.00, that is, it will have a shorter schedule.

AFI Palace Cotroceni New Year's Eve 2026 program:
- Wednesday, December 31: 10:00 – 19:00
- Thursday, January 1, 2026: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m
ParkLake Shopping Center New Year's Eve 2026 schedule
- Program 31 December:
- Carrefour: 08:00 – 19:00
- Shops: 10:00 – 20:00
- Restaurants and cafes: 10:00 – 20:00
- Cinema City: 11:00 – 18:30
- Schedule January 1: CLOSED
Bucharest Mall Vitan New Year's Eve 2026 program
- Wednesday, December 31: 10:00 – 18:00
- Thursday, January 1: CLOSED;
- Friday, January 2: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Plaza Romania New Year's Eve 2026 program
- December 31, the mall will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
- January 1: CLOSED
- January 2, normal hours (10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.)
Baneasa Shopping City program for New Year's Eve 2026
- Wednesday, December 31: 10:00 – 18:00
- Thursday, January 1: CLOSED;
- Friday, January 2: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
New Year's Eve 2026 Mega Mall program
At the Mega Mall, the Carrefour hypermarket, the shops and the food court will have different programs than Cinema City and World Class.
For shops, Carrefour and food court, the schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, December 31: 10:00 – 18:00
- Thursday, January 1: CLOSED
Between December 28 and 30, Carrefour Mega Mall will be open until 11:00 p.m.
On December 31, the World Class program will be all 08:00 – 16:00again on January 1st it will be closed. On January 2, the schedule will be 12:00 – 20:00.
Cinema City Mega Mall program
- December 31: 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m
- January 1: 14:00 – 23:00
Veranda Mall schedule
- Wednesday, December 31: 10:00 – 18:00
- Thursday, January 1: CLOSED
