A Krasnoyarsk resident set up a greenhouse for growing hemp at his dacha

Police detained a 46-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk suspected of drug trafficking.
It was established that the man purchased hemp seeds, fertilizers, soil and equipped it in his country house in one of the SNT Berezovsky district greenhouse for growing cannabis. He equipped the room with special lighting, ventilation and temperature control equipment. Law enforcement officers who arrived there found 70 bushes of a drug-containing plant, packaging material and electronic scales.
According to the expert's conclusion, the seized plant substance with a total weight of about 4.5 kg is parts of hemp.
Criminal cases were opened against a previously unconvicted Krasnoyarsk resident under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “g” part of art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale) and under Part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs on a large scale). The maximum penalty he faces is 20 years in prison.
