Ionel Dănciulescu (49 years old), former emblematic striker of Dinamo, who played for the “dogs” in the periods 1995-1997, 2002-2006 and 2010-2013, analyzed the current situation of the team, talking about the necessary transfers, but also about the players who came this season.

The former goalscorer of League 1 returned to Dinamo in 2002 even from the great rival Steaua, a club he had signed with in 1998, after he had also had a short period previously with the team from Ștefan cel Mare.

Ionel Dănciulescu, critic of Dinamo's attackers: “They don't help you at all. This is the reality”

The former striker believes that Dinamo urgently needs reinforcements, especially in the offensive department:

“You need a player of at least Olsen's level. You also need a striker. Kyriakou did not convince me, and Milanov, this year, had good and bad developments.

You don't have a striker. Karamoko also has good moments, but also weaker moments. Pop, brought from Oțelul Galati, does not help you at all, that is the reality.

“The Raven” also criticizes the problem of the U21 rule

The former Romanian international also emphasized the difficulties caused by the U21 rule:

Musi is injured. When he doesn't play, there are problems with the U21 rule. Mazilu still needs time, which was also seen in the last matches.”

Despite the criticism, Danciulescu appreciates the current stability of the club:

“Things must be done with a head and with balance. I would like more from them, especially at such a good time for the team. In general, at Dinamo, including the people who invest money, they are balanced”, said Dănciulescu, on the Liga Digi Sport show.

Danciulescu's numbers at Dinamo

Ionel Danciulescu scored 135 goals and provided 7 assists in 320 official matches for Dinamo. Throughout his career he was:

  • 2 times top scorer of League 1

  • 5 times champion of Romania

  • winner of 4 Cups and 2 Supercups of Romania

In his career, he played for FC Caracal, Steaua Bucharest, Shandong Taishan and Hercules, and for the Romanian national team he scored 8 selections and 2 goals.
