Singer Oscar, homeless in New York, refused to go to a shelter and continues to live on the street. A friend bought him/her a sleeping bag, a mattress, a blanket, warm clothes and shoes so that the trans woman would not freeze to death.
The author of the hit “Between Me and You” does not accept any other help – he/she likes to be homeless. He doesn’t want to live in shelters. Relatives forced Oscar-Scarlett to apply for social support – now the drag queen receives $700 – 350 for food, 350 for personal needs and transport, plus rare visits to shelters.
Concerned people donated $1,750 to the artist – in addition to things for living on the street, they gave Oscar a guitar (so he could earn money by singing), clothes and other little things. Friend Alexander, who collects donations, promises to keep an eye on Oscar-Scarlett and help so that he/she does not die.
