Iuliu Mureșan, the president of the CFR Cluj club, announced on Saturday the purchase of an 18-year-old Spanish striker who will join the team led by Daniel Pancu, without revealing his name.
“We will make transfers this winter. We are close to finalizing the bringing of a midfielder, in place of Emerllahu. We have brought a young 18-year-old striker, who played in Spain. We will announce him. We are about to bring another central defender. We do not need to bring many players, because the squad is so large,” said Iuliu Mureșan, quoted by digisport.ro.
CFR Cluj lost an important player during this winter break. On Thursday, Cluj announced that they had reached an agreement with the Ukrainian group Polissya Zhytomyr for the transfer of midfielder Lindon Emerllahu.
CFR Cluj will receive 1.5 million euros in exchange for the footballer, and the Kosovar will have an annual salary of 500,000 euros at the team in the first league of Ukraine. Emerllahu was also wanted by FCSB.
