Shocking crime in Sibiu: a woman allegedly killed her mother for the inheritance, with the help of a nurse
A 38-year-old woman and a nurse were detained by prosecutors, being accused of premeditated murder. Investigators claim that the victim's daughter, helped by the nurse, would have sedated and suffocated her mother in order to get possession of the inheritance.

“The two defendants were detained on 27.12.2025 and a proposal for preventive arrest was made for committing the crime of qualified murder”it is stated in an information from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sibiu Court. The prosecutors mention that among the circumstances detained are the premeditation of the deed and its commission for material interest, informs News.ro.
According to the investigators, the crime would have taken place in June 2024. The investigations showed that the victim's daughter would have planned to kill her mother and would have benefited from the support of a nurse.
Sedated and suffocated in her own home
According to the data in the file, the nurse would have procured her daughter a quantity of sedatives, which would have been slipped into the tea consumed by the victim. After the woman fell asleep, the nurse allegedly went to the home and administered other sedatives to the victim, by injection, with the aim of killing her. To ensure death, the two would later suffocate her with a pillow.
“After the death, the author came into possession of the inheritance, which she sold and moved to Dubai“, it is also specified in the information of the Prosecutor's Office.
The representatives of the institution emphasize that, throughout the criminal process, the investigated persons benefit from the presumption of innocence.
