One person was transported to the hospital, while two others received medical attention on the spot after 11 cars were involved in a road accident on Friday on DEX 12, on the Pitesti-Slatina direction, according to the announcement made by the Ministry of Health.
The institution says that the accident occurred at kilometer 80, “involving 11 cars and a total of 27 people”.
The authorities have activated the Red Intervention Plan at the Olt county level for the efficient management of the situation.
“According to the data available up to this moment, there are no people incarcerated. The medical evaluation of all the people involved is ongoing,” the statement said.
The Ministry of Health stated that a person was transported to the hospital, conscious and cooperative, with a suspected fracture of an upper limb. Two other people were treated at the scene for contusions, but refused transport to the hospital.
“The intervention is ensured by extensive medical and rescue forces, being mobilized: 3 ASAS ambulances, 8 SMURD crews, 2 ATPVM, 1 light extrication vehicle, 1 heavy extrication vehicle, 2 SAJ ambulances. ISU Argeș is also acting in support of the intervention”, added the Ministry of Health, stating that “the situation is dynamic”.
