The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Prahova announced that it intervened on Friday evening to remove several fallen trees within the radius of the city of Sinaia. No victims were registered, ISU said.
Several trees fell on Zamora Street, on fences and power lines, while five others fell on Mănăstirii Street.
“One of them fell over a car on board of which there were 3 occupants who, fortunately, were not injured”, stated ISU Prahova.
The inspectorate warned that “the wind continues to blow strongly”.
“We ask citizens to avoid traveling to the affected areas and to stop outdoor activities and take shelter in safe spaces,” the ISU Prahova statement also states.
In a post on Facebook, ISU Prahova stated that the mountainous area of the county is subject to a code orange weather warning of dangerous weather phenomena, characterized by strong intensification of the wind, with speeds of 120-140 km/h. The warning is valid until 11 p.m.
