The Krasnoyarsk village of Khatanga is being modernized for its 400th anniversary

Preparations for the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the village of Khatanga were discussed by members of the regional government and representatives of the authorities of the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets Municipal District at a meeting chaired by the regional governor Mikhail Kotyukov.

The press service of the regional government reported that five public spaces are being renovated for the village residents for the anniversary. Work began this year and will continue in 2026. The facades of 8 apartment buildings on Sovetskaya, Aeroportovskaya and Polyarnaya streets were repaired. Modern illuminated projection pedestrian crossings have been installed on the roadway, renovation of rural school No. 1 continues and the territory of the Solnyshko kindergarten is being improved.

At Khatanga airport, the runway and apron were repaired in 2025. 163 airfield slabs were replaced on the runway, thereby eliminating all problematic areas of the pavement. The asphalt concrete surface of the apron was repaired on an area of ​​3,300 square meters. These works allowed the airport to accommodate aircraft with low-mounted engines, such as the Sukhoi Superjet 100, year-round.

According to the head of the territory, Alexey Chlenov, anniversary celebrations are planned in Khatanga on September 11–12, 2026. Depending on weather conditions, the celebration will be held on an outdoor stage or indoors. As part of the cultural program in the anniversary year, 49 events will be held in the northern settlement, including tours of regional theater and musical groups.

For the next meeting of the headquarters to prepare for the anniversary, Mikhail Kotyukov instructed to draw up a consolidated plan of all events dedicated to the holiday, and add events to it for residents of other settlements in the region.

“The 400th anniversary of Khatanga is a holiday not only for its inhabitants. Therefore, in Krasnoyarsk, events must be thought out and implemented that would highlight this historical event for the Krasnoyarsk Territory. These could be cultural events, educational spaces, youth activities. By the next meeting, in a month, it is necessary to prepare a general plan,” the governor noted.

Let us remind you that it became known earlier that in 2027, construction of the first trade and logistics center will begin in the area of ​​the village of Khatanga. It will become the core of supplying northern villages with socially significant goods, a platform for the purchase, storage and sale of local products.
