Serious accident in Argeș: a woman died and four other people were injured after a car left the roadway

One person lost his life, and four others were injured on Wednesday morning, in a serious road accident on DN 65, in the area of Lunca Corbului, Argeș county. The car carrying the victims left the road and ended up in the ditch.

According to the Argeș Emergency Situations Inspectorate, only one car was involved in the accident. A fire truck, a SMURD mobile intensive care ambulance, a qualified first aid SMURD ambulance, an extrication truck, as well as two crews of the County Ambulance Service intervened on the scene. As a result of the impact, five people were injured, two men and three women.
A 61-year-old woman died
ISU Argeș representatives reported that one of the victims, a 61-year-old woman, could not be saved, despite resuscitation efforts. The other four injured people were evaluated at the scene and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
“The event resulted in five victims, two male and three female, of which one (woman, aged approximately 61) died. Following the on-site evaluation, the medical crews transported four people to the hospital“, the representatives of ISU Argeș sent, according to Agerpres.
The firefighters also ensured specific fire prevention measures.
Impaired traffic and ongoing investigation
The Infotraffic Center of the Romanian Police announced that the traffic flowed with difficulty on DN 65, between Pitesti and Slatina, in the area where the accident occurred.
Police officers of the Road Service are conducting investigations to establish exactly the circumstances in which the accident occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
