Ionuț Nedelcearu was very close to a return to Dinamo this year. The 29-year-old central defender, raised in Ștefan cel Mare and registered with the red-white club between 2003-2018, spoke openly about the missed transfer and the reasons that made him choose another option.
Quoted at 1.5 million euros by Transfermarkt, Nedelcearu received an important offer from Russia, from Akron Togliatti, which weighed decisively in the final choice.
Advanced negotiations with Dinamo, but the decision was different
The Romanian defender explained that Dinamo was his first option, but the personal context and the offer from Russia changed the course of the negotiations:
“Before I went to Russia, there were negotiations with Dinamo, it was the first choice, where after I had regrets and felt pain that I did not return to Dinamothere was no financial problem, from their side, they offered me very good conditions.
But this offer from Russia intervened and I said to take the course, because the life of a footballer is short and I thought more about the future of the family.
I would like to return at some point, to Dinamo, but I don't know when, Dinamo raised me, Dinamo formed me as a person, I don't want to end my career with this regretthat I turned my back on them when they wanted me. One day I want to come back and help them as much as I can”, said Nedelcearu, for as.ro.
Total confidence in Dinamo: “They can win the championship”
Nedelcearu also spoke about the current course of his former team, which he constantly follows:
“I watched Dinamo's matches, when we didn't have a match, I keep my fingers crossed for them and I think they are fighting for the championship and can win the championship. Yes, I can take the championship, for sure“, Nedelcearu also said to the cited source.
