An explosion in Moscow killed three people
The press office of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs assures that all necessary assistance will be provided to the families of policemen killed on Yeletskaya Street in Moscow.
“The management and staff of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry in Moscow express their sincere condolences to the families of police lieutenant Ilya Klimanov and police lieutenant Maxim Gorbunov, inspectors of a separate traffic police battalion […]who were fatally injured while performing their duties,” the press office reported.
Ilya Klimanov had 24 years old and joined the Moscow Police in October 2023. Maxim Gorbunov he was 25 years old and joined the police in February 2022. He left behind a wife and a nine-month-old daughter, reports the TASS agency.
A Russian general is assassinated
Major General Fanil Sarvarov, responsible for the training system of the Russian army, died on Monday morning as a result of the explosion of an improvised explosive device hidden in the car he was driving.
According to the Investigative Committee, a 17-year-old resident of Moscow was responsible for carrying out the attack. According to Russian law enforcement agencies, the teenager allegedly acted on behalf of the Ukrainian secret services and was detained shortly after the attack.
